alexander's essay

The year is 1991.There are thousands of people on the streets of Moscow; and so are the tanks. The parliament building just gone up in flames; I try to switch the channels on tv set, but for the next 24 hours all stations would broadcast the same thing-“Swan Lake” ballet by Tchaikovsky. I was too young at that time to comprehend what exactly has happened. Overnight, the world has changed-The Union of Soviet Socialistic Republics has kicked the bucket. And just like that everything i have been taught since kindergarten turned out be a lie in a matter of hours. But this story is not about that, this story is about...
...Decisions. Throughout our lives each one of us has to make them on a daily basis. Some decisions can be as simple as what dress should one wear today, or what route to work should one take. But at a certain point in life he or she is faced with that one decision that can make or break you, or at least alter your life forever. And more often than not, such important, life shaping decisions are not so easy to make, leaving some people questioning themselves for the rest of their lives if they made the right choice.
