From Olivia: Satire Final Drafts should be posted here before your class on Wednesday

FDs are NOT submitted in hard copy. If you have a problem posting, you are required to bring 25 copies of your piece to class on Wednesday. I will not accept late postings or late copies.

You MUST follow the labeling guidelines. I'll be doing in-blog searches to "collect" each class' texts for discussion.

If you are in my 11 a.m. class, the title of your post should read:
ELEVEN SECTION: [your last name]

If you are in my 1 p.m. class, the title of your post should read:
ONE SECTION: [your last name]

If you are in my 2 p.m. class, the title of your post should read:
TWO SECTION: [your last name]

Be sure that you have a HEADLINE in the body of your post. Here's the checklist, as a reminder:

Checklist:
-What’s the societal problem you are addressing?
-Do you have a headline that helps “frame” your idea?
-Do you use conventions of regular news articles—quotes, facts, background, dates?
-Do you want to incorporate any images?

Align your work with the rubric:
• Satire FD is worth 20 points.
• The thesis accounts for 10 points (9-10 excellent, 7-8 good, 4-6 adequate, 1-3 inadequate).
• Development accounts for 4 points (4 excellent, 3 good, 2 adequate, 1 inadequate).
• Organization will not be graded.
• Written conventions account for 2 points. If you make more than two errors from the most recent list we have generated in class discussions, or if you have more than two errors that interfere with meaning, you will lose points.
• Style accounts for 4 points (4 excellent, 3 good, 2 adequate, 1 inadequate).

PLEASE NOTE:
More than three sentence structure errors will result in a deduction of FIVE POINTS. Failure to proofread for minor errors and misspellings will result in a deduction of FIVE POINTS. Failure to suggest a clear societal problem AND a joke will result in an INADEQUATE THESIS.
