TWO SECTION: [Zuluaga]

Media: The Addiction

As the sun raises so does the work of the business we call “the media.” These obsessive workers are the cause of much of the world as we know it today. From any story to any major issue it is bound to either show up on CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC and many other avibrations that causes its viewers to attempt to decode them.

These major television companies had begun to get law suits and other types of attacks when they are just clearly trying to inform us. “We try to repeat stories every 5 minutes for about an entire week, hopefully that way we can inform everyone in the world,” says news anchor Anderson Cooper. It is not that these news sources attempt to blow up situations, it is important to inform the world that a child in Michigan got stuck in a tree and they must bring in specialist and inform people for about three weeks so we can make sure instances like this never happen again.

It is solely for the safety and security of the people that they are informed with the most accurate and most constant information. “We don’t attempt to scare people but they have to know if a celebrity is either wearing Diesel or Target.” Yet they forget the fact that they are two current wars where hundreds are being killed daily.

People’s addition to understand and hear about every single story has caused them to obsess and watch television for hours. Not only have we seen an increase in eye problems but people are now hiring their own personal reporters to report to them what their families are doing and give them statistics on their daily lives.
